As a FASCA teacher, I focus on helping the young adults of FASCA appreciate their heritage and cultural background by getting them involved in the Taiwanese community and beyond through volunteer work and learning op[opportunities. I also work to create projects that train our members to excel as leaders.
I'm Peggy Chiu, a dedicated businesswoman fueled by a passion for learning and sharing diverse cultures, and a strong belief in giving back to the community. With a solid background in management, I contribute a unique blend of talents and energy to every project. I'm thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to the growth and strength of FASCA!
We need volunteers to help us spread the word about our organization and our mission. This includes creating and distributing flyers, reaching out to local media outlets, and connecting with other community organizations.
FASCA gives teenagers the opportunity to discover, express, and challenge themselves.
I-Ling Chen holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland, a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music, and is an alumnus of Taipei National University of the Arts. Beginning her musical journey in Taiwan, I-Ling demonstrated excellence in piano, chamber music, choir, operas, and orchestral performances. In Houston, she founded Trio Oriens, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and established her piano studio.
My name is Ya-Ling Hsiao. I am a retired assistant professor from Chang Gung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. I love my life and enjoy activities with teenagers.
My name is Yung-Wei Sun. I am a performer and voice teacher. Since I moved to Houston, I have been inspired by the strong community here. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the FASCA Vocal Team, and explore the mandarin repertoire with young singers!
I'm June Wang, a mom of two daughters and an at-home baker! I'm pleased to join FASCA's counselors/teachers team. In FASCA, I aspire to help all members connect with their heritage and cultural ties to Taiwan and I will try my best to provide opportunities to do so, especially with arts, crafts, and Taiwanese cuisine.
FASCA is a reputable youth organization dedicated to fostering cultural awareness among overseas Chinese youth beyond the borders of Taiwan (ROC). In addition to deepening their understanding of their family culture, participants learn within this dynamic team and utilize their talents to contribute to the community. I am immensely proud to serve as one of the teachers, offering insights that enable the public to gain a richer understanding of Taiwan (ROC).
